The Demarest Athletic Association (DAA) continues to provide sports programs directly benefitting hundreds of our children through soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball programs, all coordinated by the DAA. Recent important DAA accomplishments include a collaborative baseball league with Haworth and Closter, professional training sessions for baseball, softball, soccer, and basketball players, and collaboration with Northern Valley Demarest High School sports. These efforts allow for the development of the athletic and social skills of our children, while cultivating a good balance of a friendly community atmosphere and competitive spirit. We are also committed to the safety of your children, with all coaches now trained by the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. (Sports Awareness for Educating Today's Youth) Clinic and CDC Heads Up concussion training programs.
Presently we are undertaking several major initiatives to expand the sports opportunities for our kids:
-
Permanent large soccer field
-
Complete refurbishing of all our baseball and soccer fields
-
Replacement/repair of all dugouts and spectator stands
-
Walking/jogging path
-
Outdoor Pavilion
Please consider supporting us at one of the following levels of support:
-
Platinum: $10,000 and above
-
Gold: $5,000 - $9,999
-
Silver: $1,000 - $4,999
-
Bronze: $100 - $999
The DAA is comprised of an entirely volunteer staff of Demarest parents. To both sustain and improve upon our sports programs we need your support. The DAA is a 501(c)(3), and all donations are 100% tax deductible.
Becoming a supporter of the DAA can be done by submitting a check to the DAA at the address below or by simply clicking the link below to donate.
Take it from me as a parent, a coach, and long-time supporter of the DAA: it is an experience the children take pleasure in and never forget. Please think of us the next time you see your child play in a DAA program.
Sincerely,
Mike Dipple, DAA President
